Four people have died following a road crash involving a Toyota Voxy and a MAN Diesel trailer at Anyinasin Junction on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 28, 2026, prompting an emergency response from the Bunso Fire Station. The station received a distress call at 5:21 a.m. and arrived at the scene approximately 14 minutes later with a seven-member rescue team.
Firefighters found the Toyota Voxy, registered GR 9430-26, severely wrecked after the collision. The MAN Diesel trailer, with registration GS 4064-26, also sustained damage.
Rescue personnel worked to free victims trapped in the vehicles and secured the area while helping to manage traffic along the busy highway.
One male victim was successfully rescued and transported to the Kibi Government Hospital for medical attention.
However, four other occupants, three males and one female, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The bodies were subsequently handed over to the appropriate authorities.
The circumstances leading to the collision have not yet been established. The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations to determine what caused the crash.
