Former Ayawaso Central NPP Constituency Chairman Bismark Boateng has described the party’s victory in the 2028 general elections as a divinely ordained outcome, following the election of its new national executives.
Boateng said the October 3 national executive elections demonstrated that the NPP was united and ready to return to power, arguing that the process was free, fair and transparent.
“God has been gracious to the NPP. The outcome of our elections shows that God has handed over power to the NPP come 2028. The process started smoothly and culminated in the October 3 conference. The elections were free, fair, transparent, and accepted by all. You could tell that all the candidates and their supporters were excited,” he said.
He also pointed to the election of John Boadu as National Chairman, describing it as an important step towards the party’s 2028 campaign.
“John Boadu’s election as Chairman is a clear sign of victory for the NPP in 2028. He is an experienced politician who has risen through the ranks—from a polling station officer to constituency and national levels—demonstrating his competence and dedication to party work,” he stressed.
Boateng said Boadu’s grassroots experience would help reunite the party and bring back members who had become less active.
“These qualities are the exact traits of John Boadu. His pairing with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will make the job much easier for the NPP. His election will unite the party. The victory of John Boadu is a victory for both the NPP and Dr Bawumia,” he added.
He further said the NPP’s new leadership would help the party rebuild ahead of the 2028 elections, while claiming that the development had unsettled the opposition NDC.
