Four people, including a baby, have reportedly sustained serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash at the Sofoline Interchange flyover in Kumasi.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning and involved a passenger minibus, a Toyota Corolla and a motorised tricycle, popularly known as a Pragia.

Initial reports indicate that the minibus was travelling from Goaso towards Kejetia when the incident occurred. The driver, identified as Kwabena Boahen, reportedly said the vehicle developed a brake problem while descending the flyover, resulting in the collision.

The impact left several occupants injured, including a one-and-a-half-year-old baby who was among those affected by the crash.

The injured victims were assisted from the vehicles and taken for medical attention. However, details about their identities and current medical conditions remain limited.

The crash caused concern among motorists and pedestrians in the area, with the damaged vehicles reportedly obstructing movement around the busy interchange.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
