Newly elected 3rd National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, has dismissed media reports suggesting he and Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) deliberately skipped the official introduction of newly elected national executives following a rift over election arrangements.

Clarifying the circumstances surrounding his absence at the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Nana Akomea explained that he left the conference grounds around 11:30 PM after a long day of deliberations. However, his attempt to return to the venue for the final proceedings was thwarted by heavy gridlock on the surrounding roads, causing him to arrive just minutes after the official introductions had concluded.

Akomea firmly refuted claims of engaging in behind-the-scenes "negotiations" or disputes with Kojo Bamba, noting that he was not even present on the floor during the vote counting and final tabulation process.

Expressing gratitude to the over 6,000 delegates who convened for the national conference, he congratulated all aspirants and called for unified party action to support the NPP’s national agenda.
