The 2024 presidential candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, has called on National Security to question NPP National First Vice Chairman aspirant Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, over his claims that cocaine is being processed in factories in Ghana.
Speaking on Power FM on September 23, 2026, Mornah said Nana B’s claims were serious and should be investigated. He argued that the NPP politician must have information about the alleged facilities to make such statements.
Mornah urged National Security Coordinator Abdul Razak Osman to invite Nana B for questioning and ask him to lead investigators to the location of the alleged factory.
“I believe what Nana B said about having a factory that processes cocaine in Ghana. I believe him, and I believe he is part of it, hence his knowledge of where the factory is,” he said.
He added that Nana B should only be required to identify the location and explain what he knows about the alleged operation before being released and protected as a source.
Mornah warned that failure to investigate the claims could raise questions about whether officials were protecting those behind the alleged operation.
“If they don’t arrest Nana B, then it means they are protecting him and establishing the factory, producing and processing cocaine in the country. National Security must act swiftly. If he isn’t part of it, he wouldn’t have made such claims, so they should pick him up for investigations to proceed,” he said.
Nana B made the claims at a press conference on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, amid recent drug trafficking cases involving Ghana.
