The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appointed Julius Kwame Anthony as its Deputy Communications Director, effective immediately.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey.

According to the statement, the party’s Functional Executive Committee approved the appointment at a meeting held on the same day.

The NDC said the move was aimed at strengthening its communications operations, improving public engagement and enhancing how it communicates its policies and programmes.

“He brings to the position a sound understanding of communication and its strategic application in advancing the Party's objectives,” the statement said.

The party expressed confidence that Mr Anthony would work closely with the Communications Directorate and other party structures to advance its communication goals.

It also named Mr Anthony, Godwin Ako Gunn and Kakra Essamuah as designated contacts for media engagements and other matters concerning the party.

His appointment comes as the NDC continues to communicate the policies and programmes of the government led by President John Dramani Mahama, including its Reset Agenda.
