The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected a new set of national executives to lead the party as it reorganises ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The elections were held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with more than 7,000 delegates participating.

John Boadu – National Chairman

John Boadu was elected National Chairman after securing 2,888 votes.

Justin Frimpong Kodua – General Secretary

Justin Frimpong Kodua retained his position as General Secretary with 4,486 votes.

Daniel Titus Glover – National Organiser

Daniel Titus Glover won the National Organiser position with 2,964 votes.

Alfred Kwajo Thompson – National Treasurer

Alfred Kwajo Thompson was elected National Treasurer after polling 2,243 votes.

National Vice Chairpersons

Three candidates were elected from a field of 13:

Kojo Fosu – First Vice Chairman

Henry Nana Boakye – Second Vice Chairman

Nana Akomea – Third Vice Chairman

Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye – National Communications Director

Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was elected unopposed.

Abanga Yakubu Fuseni – National Youth Organiser

Abanga Yakubu Fuseni was elected National Youth Organiser.

Hawa Koomson – National Women’s Organiser

Former Awutu Senya East MP Mavis Hawa Koomson was elected National Women’s Organiser.

Mohammed Ali Suraj – National Nasara Organiser

Mohammed Ali Suraj won the position with 372 votes. Salim Mansuru Bamba polled 311 votes, while Awal Mohammed secured 106 votes.

The new executive team will oversee the party’s organisational affairs as it prepares for the 2028 general elections.

In his first address as National Chairman, John Boadu called on NPP members to unite and work together towards the party’s goal of regaining political power.

Boadu’s election also marks a change in the party’s leadership structure, with Justin Frimpong Kodua retaining the General Secretary position after defeating him in the 2022 contest for the same role.
