Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations Samuel Nartey George has responded to criticism from former NPP Ashanti Regional Communications Director Paul Yandoh over how he managed to study law while serving as a Member of Parliament and minister.

Paul Yandoh questioned how the Ningo-Prampram MP found time to pursue legal studies despite his demanding public duties, and expressed surprise at the number of politicians pursuing legal education while holding senior positions.

“Today, everybody is studying law, and I wonder whether, during the NPP's time in government, it was the government that prevented people from passing or something,” he said.

He also questioned how Sam George had managed to qualify as a lawyer, suggesting that his ministerial responsibilities left little time for studying.

“I saw Sam George, and I wondered how he managed to attain that status because he is a minister and has been very busy. So, how did he pass?” Mr Yandoh asked.

Responding in an interview on Oyerepa TV on October 13, 2026, Mr George said he had spent his time studying while Mr Yandoh was occupied with social media activities.

“My brother Paul wants to come to the seashore. Frank is not enough for you. The time he spends on social media is the same time I spend studying,” he said.

He also challenged Mr Yandoh to provoke Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene again if he wanted to see how he would use his legal training in court.

“If he wants to know that I am a lawyer, he should offend Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, again, and he will see what I will do to him in court,” Sam George stated.
