The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will commence a nationwide revenue mobilisation exercise on Monday, November 9, 2026, targeting customers with outstanding electricity bills.

The exercise, which will run until November 27, will cover residential, commercial and industrial consumers, as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) with unpaid bills.

In a notice issued on Saturday, November 7, the power distributor urged customers with outstanding payments to clear their arrears before the exercise begins to avoid disconnection and additional reconnection charges.

ECG said special teams would be deployed across the country to monitor compliance and enforce the exercise.

The company also warned that individuals involved in illegal electricity connections, obstructing the revenue mobilisation exercise or reconnecting their power supply without authorisation after disconnection would face arrest and prosecution.

Customers who are unable to access their electricity bills have been advised to visit their nearest ECG office for assistance.

The company further encouraged consumers to settle outstanding payments through approved channels, including the ECG Mobile App.

The exercise forms part of ECG's efforts to recover outstanding revenue and strengthen its financial position to support electricity distribution and operations across the country.
